We had two adjoining rooms. Both were the same size but the furniture and configuration was different. One had an extra bed, the other had a bathtub instead of a shower. I much preferred the layout of the one with the extra bed even though we didn't use it. But otherwise both were functional and more like a motel room than a hotel room.

Hi all, please read my review before you book at this hotel. I booked a twin room. When I woke up in the morning, I had bite marks on my legs, which I am assuming are done by bed bugs. The other twin bed had a bunch if hair when we first entered the room. The wifi was not strong enough. Even though this was mentioned in the amenities (just a suggestion), it'll help to have a microwave in the room. Also helpful to have a handwash soap at the sink. There were only 3 spoons in the room. No forks or knives. We were scheduled to stay three nights, but checked out after two nights and booked another hotel for the last night. If you find another hotel in the vicinity, please book that.

The hotel is well located and clean. Main attractions are within walking distance.

Location is good which near the Church for taking photo at night. Room is too old and a bit dark. We stay at second floor which we need to carry the big suitcases upstair. It will be a bit noisy if people go down the stair which near my room at the early morning. The best thing for that hotel is provding a free breakfast at the cafe " Jack rabbit " on each morning. A full breakfast (menu attached )with a drink and one dessert(can take away) is included at the room rate. They are tasty and let me full until late afternoon.

Great location , walking distance to the dark sky experience

hotel was convenient, clean and inexpensive. Minimal staff but this is understandable due to Covid. Restaurant looked very good, but it didn't open before our stargazing experience started so we were unable to dine there.

It's a five-minute walk from the Church of the Good Shepherd. The stars are indeed very clear. It's suitable for taking pictures. It's very safe around. I found that all the people taking pictures were Chinese. It may be because it's rare to see stars and the Milky Way in domestic cities. The hotel has complete facilities and is located on a commercial street.

The hotel is very close to the Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Tekapo. It was very convenient for participating in stargazing activities at night. I contacted the car for pick-up. The hotel room is not big, but the stay is okay.

To be precise, it's more like a motel. I believe that many people are passing through and only stay for one night, so the price of this hotel is very suitable. The old facilities and equipment are not suitable for vacation. Parking is free at the door. My room has three beds, which are not wide and very soft. Although the quality is not high, maybe because I was tired, the stay was quite comfortable. The hot water is hot and plentiful. The area is not large, and there is nowhere to put your feet after opening the box. There is heating, so when you come back after watching the starry sky at night, you are not cold at all. Just off the main road, easy to find. I forgot to tell the front desk that I would be late, so they left my key outside the door and gave me a room map, which was very considerate. This is the first motel I've stayed in in New Zealand and it was a good experience.

This bed is too soft. If a person weighs 150 pounds, he probably won't be able to get up from it. But the location of the hotel is better. It's right by the lake. It's a 10-minute walk to the Church of the Good Shepherd and a 10-minute walk to the supermarket. There's a pizza shop next to it that's delicious. You must come out to see the Milky Way at night. It's so shocking.

The location of the hotel is very good, not far from the lake and the Shepherd Church. I stayed here nine years ago and I still choose here this time. Many new hotels have been built in the town, which effectively solves the accommodation problem of tourists.
