I often book only in 4* establishments, I find it a good middle ground so as not to be disappointed. The only plus is the location, excellent for visiting Venice upon arrival from the station; check in: the concierge immediately made himself available to book a tour of the various islands, as per practice he explained the various hours and spaces of the hotel. The key is really heavy. The room was dirty and very poorly maintained, let's leave out the garbage bags to pass in front of the room; some things like the 90s shower curtain and the unhygienic bath mat are inexplicable, as shown in the photos. Absolutely not 4*. Attention to the use of plastic, minimally taken into consideration; slippers nothing (not bad) and tissue container in the empty toilet. Questionable mini bar as well as the narrow lift. Breakfast: it's the first time I've seen a 4-star hotel without a minimum of table service, fully automated buffet, the impression of quality on the products is perplexing, undrinkable espresso. Finally check out where the interest in asking you how the stay went is zero. It's certainly not a place to stay and spend a day in a hotel, in fact I don't consider the bad view of the room with the balcony with the unlit cigarettes on the floor, but a minimum of decency given the recognition of the stars I thought I'd expect it, it all looks like a little left to itself and the goal is to get to the next day.
