Anshun Batik Museum

Batik is quite popular among the women of the Miao Buyi ethnic group in Anshun. Guizhou Batik Culture Museum was the predecessor of the "Guizhou Batik Culture Exhibition" organized by the Provincial Department of Culture. The museum is the Confucian Temple of Anshunfu, a key cultural relics protection unit in Guizhou Province. Batik is an ancient folk traditional hand-painted and dyed art in China, with a long history. At least in the Qin and Han eras, the ancestors of the Miao, Yuan, and Buyi ethnic minorities in the southwest region have invented and mastered batik technology. This technology was further developed in the later generations and was preserved in the minority areas of Guizhou, and has been circulating to this day. The wax pattern has a strong national color, and is a national art wonder with rich characteristics in China.
