Lovely old church
Look at the old roof beams, especially the curved crossing at the transept. Chartham is lovely village, also visit the station when a train comes. Watch level crossing keeper closing the gates!
St.Mary's was built between 1285 and 1305, the tower in the fourteenth century. Much restoration has been done over the years. Walking around this surprisingly large church, the eyes keep finding more...
Next to my grandma’ old house so maybe I’m partial. Lovely old church from 1200s. Boat ceiling. Complete redo going on. Warden showed us around. Can by new roof tiles to commemorate loved ones.

Beautiful 14th century church and Village Green once you get past the 1950s paper mill which is rundown and an incredibly ugly introduction to the village.
