Chongqing Lijiang Lishui Wind and Rain Covered Bridge was awarded the "World's First Wind and Rain Covered Bridge" by the China Lijiang Association, located in Lishui Town, Lijiang District, Chongqing. The wind and rain covered bridge spans the Apeng River, 658 meters long, 5 meters wide, divided into bridge, tower, pavilion three parts, the bridge is a pure wooden structure, the building materials between the hoe eyes interspersed with each other, straight sleeves sloping through, the structure is firm and precise, the bridge is built with a tower pavilion, the bridge is placed with red paint bench. Construction was completed on October 18, 2010, and it was officially opened to the public at the end of October. At about 4 am on November 28, 2013, the wind and rain covered bridge (also known as the wind and rain pedestrian bridge) in the ancient town of Lijiang River and Lishui broke out. The wooden buildings on the bridge were burned, and the piers and bridge reinforced concrete buildings were not destroyed. Fortunately, the fire did not cause casualties. The covered bridge was completed after the reconstruction in 2017, and the total length was 658 meters.
