It is something of a surprise to see the Lhakhang and other Bhutanese style buildings in El Paso. This makes a visit to the university very interesting.

Stunning and amazing temple in the heart of UTEP. A must see. UTEP's architecture is Bhutanese inspired.

Wonderful site to visit on the UTEP campus. Wonderful and knowledgeable docent gives the history and culture of the Bhutanese Temple replica. Open 11-1 every Wed. and 1-3 first Sunday of each month.
