Scotland Street School Museum

The Scottish Street School Museum is an important work of Mackintosh in Glasgow. The whole museum is based on the theme of Scottish education in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, introducing different styles of classrooms in each period. The predecessor of this building was indeed a school. It operated as a school until 1979. At its peak, there were 1,250 students. When the school was closed, there were only 89 students. If you are interested in education, you may wish to take some time to see it. The scale of the museum is not large, and it can be visited in about an hour. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows in front of the school stairs and the green inverted triangle decoration on the windows are worth your attention.
