City Wall of Ming Dynasty

＂ Ming Dynasty Ancient Wall Relic ＂ is located in Yuexiu Park, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, with a total length of 1137 meters, intermittently across Xiushan. This is the only Ming Dynasty city wall preserved in Guangzhou, and the oldest city wall left in Guangzhou. The ancient city wall of Yuexiu Mountain was built in Minghongwu 13 years (1380). According to Ming "Guangdong Tongzhi", Guangzhou City at that time was 3,796 feet long and 2 feet high. There are city gates, city buildings, enemy buildings, police shops, etc., and the history is called: the old city. It and the first floor of Lingnan in Zhenhai Building and the Wuxianguan are known as ＂ Guangzhou's three major monuments in the early Ming Dynasty ＂. The preservation is relatively intact. It is a section near Zhenhai Building, up to 200 meters long. Today, except for Zhenhai Building, there are only remnants of varying heights, and other buildings have disappeared. In 1987, the city walls behind the Zhenhai Building and the east and west sides were repaired and restored, and the old view was restored.

Guangzhou also has an ancient city wall during the Ming Dynasty, just in the Yuexiu Park in the city center, in the same area as Zhenhai Building. Guangzhou Mingcheng Wall, together with Zhenhai Building, was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in the country in 2013. Guangzhou's Ming City Wall is indeed very well protected, simple and neat, the city wall moss pieces, the stone cracks drilled grass and vines, some even grew into a leafy tree, forming the unique charm of the ancient city wall of the South.

On the opposite side of the five sheep stone carving in Yuexiu Park, I saw the old trees rooting on the city wall, and I really felt shocked! This old city wall, built in the Ming Dynasty, has not been washed for a long time, but through this old city wall, you can still imagine the grandeur of the year.
