Mingyuan Building

Mingyuan Building is the central building of Jiangnan Gongyuan. It is located on the central axis of the Jiangnan Gongyuan complex. It is still well preserved. It is the oldest Gongyuan examination room building in China. It has an artificial water view in front of it, which is very suitable for night scenes and reflections.

The Qing Dynasty Guangzhou Gongyuan is located on Wenming Road, which is the place where township tests are held in the two Guangxi areas. It was built in Kangxi 23 years (1684), and there were 5,000 houses. The first year of Daoguang (1821) was increased to 7,603 houses. It was destroyed in the war. Xianfeng 11 years (1861) was rebuilt by the Governor of the two Guangxi. By the 6th year of Tongzhi (1867), the entire Gongyuan No. Shelter has 11,708 rooms, which are large in scale and one of the four major Gongyuans in China in the late Qing Dynasty. The number of buildings in Guangzhou Gongyuan is one column, and each alley has the number of "thousand words". The building has two boards, which are used for tables and chairs. The rest is a combination of two boards and a bed. The candidates enter the book and the accommodation are in the building. After Guangxu was scrapped in 31 years (1905), Guangzhou Gongyuan was converted into a two-Guangzhou Quick Success Normal Hall, which was later the site of Guangdong University and Sun Yat-sen University.

Mingyuan Building is the only building preserved by Guangdong Gongyuan in the Qing Dynasty. Even the locals are rarely known. We found it according to the map. At present, only Mingyuan Building is open to the outside world for free. The area of the entire exhibition hall is not large. Now the second floor has not allowed tourists to visit. It's a pity that I didn't really feel the scene of the visual supervision of Dengmingyuan Building. Into Mingyuan Building, you can actually walk to the north gate exit through the Zhongshan Library and walk for tens of meters.
