Three great sights of Japan?!
A bit of a mystery, this stone monument apparently recognizes Miyajima as one of three most beautiful sites in Japan. Somehow, if they have to tell you that, it may be questionable.
No English
This neat little plaque is quite picturesque and signifies that the island is one of the three best places to visit for a good view in Japan - unfortunately there is no English to tell us that.
Pleasant Place to Ponder
This was a very pleasant place to pause as we walked to the shrine. There were views of the trees and the beach. Deer were part of the pleasant experience.
