Akaidake is 605m above sea level, and is one of the three mountains of Iwaki along with Mt. Futsuya and Mt. Yuno. Yakushido at Crystal Mountain Jofukuji Temple is surrounded by hundreds of years old cedar and cypress forests on the hillside on the east side of Mt. Akai.
