There are many temples at the foot of Mt. Utatsu on the outskirts of Higashi Chaya district. Jukyoji is one of them. It's fun just to take a walk on the back street.

Located in Kannon-cho, Kanazawa City, seven Jizo, who had been suffering from a major earthquake in the territory and had a soaring rice price, was built by five people who appealed directly to the Lord of the domain from Mt. Utatsu, and two people died in prison.

Jizo, who is the mastermind of the uprising ７, is enshrined in a memorial service for the name.

It seems that the people suffering from soaring rice prices at the end of the Edo period appealed to Kanazawa Castle for poverty. For that reason, the mastermind ７ name was punished. In this temple, Jizo was enshrined to commemorate the ７ name.

When I was walking through the old townscape from Higashi Chaya District, there was a temple with Jizo-do, where Jizo-sama, who had a white and slightly longer face, was on. Beside it was a grave of seven people.
