In late May 2022 my wife and I went on a four-week camping holiday in northern Western Australia and the Northern Territory. On the third day I fell and broke three ribs so we had to abandon the holiday and return home.I had pre-booked nearly all of our accommodation so I contacted each of them to cancel. One of these places was Mt Elizabeth Station, where I had booked a campsite ($44) and dinner for two ($80). They replied to tell me that they would not provide any refund. I can understand why I might have to forfeit the camping fee. I do not understand why, cancelling more than a week ahead, they would keep the meal payment. I would be very surprised if they had any outlay for food or preparation. It was pure profiteering.I do not dispute that their terms and conditions state that the camping and meal fees are not refundable. Every other place where I cancelled gave me a full refund, even though this was not always required by their T&Cs. Every other place recognized that I was a victim of an unfortunate accident and acted with compassion. Mt Elizabeth greedily took advantage of my situation.I hope that some people who read this review will decide not to stay at Mt Elizabeth so that they will lose any profit they made from me by their avarice.
