If you could only choose one natural attraction in your lifetime, BBC’s Life’s 50 Places to Visit ranks it first. The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona, USA. The Colorado River has carved a massive chasm 1,800 meters deep and 446 kilometers wide over 2 billion years on the North American continent. It’s not as delicate as Jiuzhaigou, nor as magical as Zhangjiajie. It’s the kind of landscape that leaves you speechless when you stand at the cliff’s edge. 🚁 Helicopter view: flying into the earth’s crack The most breathtaking way to experience the Grand Canyon is not from the edge but by flying inside. Departing from Las Vegas or the South Rim, take a helicopter down to the canyon floor. From the air, the earth looks torn open, with red, orange, yellow, and gray rock layers like a million-year-old geology textbook. We recommend choosing a tour with a landing on the canyon floor. Step off at the helipad by the Colorado River and look up at the towering cliffs—it’s like entering another world. 🌅 Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon: the canyon’s must-see neighbors Two other must-visit spots near the Grand Canyon are Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, both near the town of Page. Horseshoe Bend is a 270-degree U-shaped bend in the Colorado River. Standing at the cliff’s edge, you see emerald-green water surrounded by red rock forming a perfect horseshoe shape. Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon where sunlight streams through narrow openings above, casting beams of light on the red rock walls, making photos look like the earth’s surface is painted. Both require advance tickets, especially the “noon light beam” slot at Antelope Canyon (11 AM–1 PM), which is the most popular. ⛰️ Hiking the South Rim: walking along the earth’s wound If you don’t want to spend on a helicopter ride, hike part of the Rim Trail along the South Rim. The trail is flat with no steps, allowing you to walk while watching the canyon unfold before you. Head to Yavapai Point at sunset, when the sunlight turns the cliffs from orange to deep red, making the entire canyon look like it’s on fire—BBC’s top ranking is well deserved. 📌 Practical information · Visa: US B1/B2 tourist visa · Transportation: fly to Las Vegas or Phoenix, then rent a car for a 2–4 hour drive · Best season: April–June, September–October (avoid summer heat and winter road closures) · Best time: sunrise and sunset (most stunning light and shadow layers) · Suggested itinerary: South Rim main area + helicopter canyon floor tour (1 day is enough)

This time on Route 66, my biggest impression is: it’s not just an ordinary road, but more like a travel movie woven together by sunshine, desert, vintage cars, and Western small towns. There aren’t many fancy attractions along the way, but every stop, every straight stretch of road, and every dusk curve easily captures that “on the road” vibe. Highlights: Route 66 is best enjoyed at a slow pace—don’t treat it as a route to rush through attractions. Desert, red rocks, cacti, vintage gas stations, motels, and small town streetscapes are its core highlights. I recommend starting from Las Vegas or Phoenix and choosing a section to experience based on your time, no need to force yourself to cover the entire route. What truly attracts people isn’t a specific check-in spot, but the feeling of “vastness, vintage, and freedom” along the way. Photo spots: My favorite types of photo spots are easy to get great shots from. The first is parking on the shoulder—park safely, stand by the car door with the desert and lone peaks in the background, giving a strong road trip feel. The second is backlit shots at dusk, when the light is soft and the silhouette of the person looks cinematic. The third is small town streetscapes—Western-style wooden houses, old license plates, and gas station canopies are perfect for vintage vibes. The fourth is starry night scenes—if you get a clear night, the Milky Way over the desert road is definitely worth waiting for. Tips to avoid pitfalls: Supplies along Route 66 aren’t as convenient as in cities, so be sure to fill up your gas tank and stock up on water and snacks in advance. Summer temperatures get very high, so avoid long outdoor activities at noon to prevent sunburn and discomfort. When taking photos, don’t stop on curves or in blind spots for oncoming traffic—safety is more important than the perfect shot. Also, many small towns close early, so don’t plan your lodging and meals too late. Overall, Route 66 is perfect for those who enjoy slow travel, the road trip vibe, and Western vintage atmosphere. It’s not an easy, leisurely route, but if you’re willing to slow down your pace, you’ll gain many genuine and unforgettable moments.

Last Christmas holiday, I took a trip to New Mexico, visiting the main cities and attractions. The weather was quite good throughout, and I personally think it’s perfect for friends who want to travel within the U.S. during winter. Our Grand Circle tour started from Phoenix. Friends flying directly to Albuquerque can adjust the order accordingly. Detailed guides for some places have been shared before; you can search on the homepage 🔍 📍First stop: Alamogordo We came here to visit White Sands National Park (pics 2-4). It was closed on Christmas Day, so check the official website before going. Everyone recommends watching the sunset, but we went early in the morning and it was also beautiful—the white desert with a pink-purple sky looked dreamy. Time to explore: 3 hours 📍Second stop: Carlsbad 🦇 We came here to see Carlsbad Caverns National Park (pic 5). A detailed guide was posted before; the reviews say it’s stunning and amazing, definitely a must-visit in New Mexico 👍🏻 Remember to book in advance. Time to explore: 4 hours 📍Third stop: Roswell Alien Town 👽 (pic 6) This was just a stop along the road trip. Many shop signs, murals, and street lamps are alien-themed. You can check in at the alien-themed McDonald’s. Time to explore: 1 hour 📍Fourth stop: Santa Fe (pics 7-8) Specific photo spots have been shared before. Mainly, stroll around Santa Fe Old Town to see the Adobe-style buildings and visit some museums and churches. Time to explore: 3 hours 📍Fifth stop: Bandelier National Monument (pics 9-11) About a 1-hour drive from Santa Fe, I personally found it very unique. The main attraction is the cliff dwellings of ancient Native Americans from over 800 years ago. You can also climb into the stone caves to closely observe the ancient living relics. Time to explore: 2-3 hours 📍Sixth stop: Albuquerque How can you come to New Mexico without visiting Albuquerque? Besides strolling and having coffee in Old Town (pic 12), we also checked out filming locations from Breaking Bad (pic 13). The specific spots are easy to find. Although many places aren’t official “attractions” and can only be briefly seen, it’s still exciting to see the scenes from the show in person. Time to explore: one day 📍Seventh stop: Ship Rock 🪨 (pic 14) A detailed guide was shared before. We stayed in Farmington the night before and went to Ship Rock early the next morning. Mark the coordinates on the map in advance and set off before dawn. The morning light is beautiful, and the sunset is said to be nice too. Time to explore: 1 hour

🍁 10.15 Benxi Laobian Valley Self-Driving Tour Record 🚗 On the evening of 10.14, we chose to stay at a homestay about 3 kilometers near Laobian Valley. Early the next morning (10.15), we set off for Laobian Valley Scenic Area. Driving into the scenic area, the first gate is where you pay the parking fee 💰10 yuan; driving further to the second gate is the ticket checkpoint (official entrance). After ticket inspection, we drove a few more kilometers and, guided by staff, parked at P3 parking lot 🅿️ around 8:10 AM. This is the parking lot just behind P1 and P2, which are closer to the entrance. The entire scenic area has about 12 parking lots; the higher the number, the farther from the entrance. Even if you park at P12, it’s fine because the scenic area offers free shuttle buses to the visitor center entrance. 📍 Laobian Valley mainly has two routes: ➡️ One to "Qicaiping" ➡️ One to "Phoenix Peak" 🍂 Qicaiping The whole route is about 5 kilometers and very gentle. There are especially many maple trees along this path, highly recommended! Whether for close-up shots, distant views, or portraits, it’s all very beautiful 📸. There is a sightseeing bus 🚐 from the visitor center to Qicaiping, costing 20 yuan per person one way. Many people choose to take the bus to Qicaiping first and then walk back (or vice versa). We walked slowly all the way up and then took the bus back to the visitor center. We walked, took photos, ate, and strolled along the way. By the time we returned to the visitor center, it was about 12:30 PM (we were quite slow; usually it doesn’t take this long). 🏔 Phoenix Peak Going to Phoenix Peak requires an additional ticket, 30 yuan per person (including round-trip sightseeing bus). After returning from Qicaiping, we took the bus to Phoenix Peak. The bus winds up the mountain and drops you off at the Phoenix Peak hiking entrance. After ticket inspection, we started hiking to the summit. Photos 📷 p14 and p15 were taken by me at Phoenix Peak. This spot is better for shooting distant views, overlooking the smaller mountains, with layers of red leaves that are spectacular 🍁. After descending from Phoenix Peak, we took the bus back to the visitor center around 2 PM. There were really a lot of people today! 😆 The weather was great, and the maple leaves were perfectly red. I think there’s no need to stress about capturing “the reddest moment,” since each tree turns red at different times, and the varying shades actually add more depth and natural beauty. Overall, today was very healing. Wishing everyone a happy autumn trip 🍂❤️

Plus, there were six other fantastic pools to enjoy. Overall, this was a great value and an amazing vacation!

Haque SahebI went to unlock it with my family today. I was so immersed in it that I didn’t have time to take pictures. It was very fun.
PINGPINGPING1013Phoenix Zoo is located in Tempe Arizona and it is by far one of the best zoos I have been to. There are many attractions to the zoo like the wildlife. Phoenix Zoo has places like sea life walk where you can go see the sea life. The have a trail called Desert trail where you can see all the desert animals. they also have an area where you can see all the flowers in Arizona. they have a kid's land for just the kids they have a water park for the kids the animals that you see are mainly ones that you would see in a safari because it is a desert. Arizona You Don't See Much of like polar bears. it's a great little Zoo it's not too big not too little and I highly suggest if you're going to go to the Phoenix Zoo do not go in the summer I would plan to come in the winter where is more nice not so hot and you'll see a lot more animals than if you were to come in the summer it is 120° here in Arizona during the summer and in the winter it gets up to about 70° during the day so be a perfect time to come in the Winter.
