Buddha Jayanti Temple 西明寺

The Ximing Temple in Banshanba is one of the three Siamese Buddhist temples in Klang Valley and is also a meeting place for the Siamese people. When you come to the entrance of Ximing Temple, you will be particularly conspicuous by guarding the two golden beasts at the gate of the Buddha Temple. Entering the inside, you can see that the temple building itself is an octagonal pagoda, so it is also known as the "Octagonal Temple".

Ximing Temple is a small temple with Thai and Chinese influences. It was completed in 1957. The roof has a hexagonal structure with a pointed top painted with striking golden yellow. There is a pair of giant glittering Kylin statues in the gate. As guards, there are six main Buddha statues inside and many others outside.

每個星期天，居住在kl的暹羅人都會前來膜拜，並進行聚餐、學泰文、學舞蹈等等的活動。而每年的衛塞節及潑水節，則是西明寺最熱鬧的日子。衛塞節是紀念佛陀出生、悟道及涅槃的日子；潑水節則是去舊迎新、潑灑洗淨的日子。
