UNESCO World Heritage - Cultural Sites

The St. Augustine Cathedral in Manila, Philippines, consists of two parts: chapel and monastery. The Baroque chapel is the architectural essence of the entire St. Augustine, while the monastery is partly a museum, with a large collection of precious items such as French clothes, the Holy Grail of gold, silver crosses, ivory statues, silk mantles embroidered with gold threads and oil paintings. The focus of this article is on the organ inside the church, which is rare to see. As a world historical and cultural heritage, St. Augustine's Cathedral has also experienced the destruction of war, and many precious collections have been lost in successive wars. After World War II, St. Augustine was rebuilt. The church and the First Abbey restored the appearance of the year, and in 1965, to commemorate 400 years of Catholic transmission in the Philippines, St. Augustine exhibited photographs of hundreds of churches built across the country between the 16th and 19th centuries, which spawned the idea of creating a museum. Since then, St. Augustine has continuously collected various precious cultural relics lost in the wars and displayed in the monastery for public viewing. Today, St. Augustine is not only a church, a monastery, but also a museum that collects many Filipino and Spanish art treasures. It is an important place to display the historical and cultural treasures of the Philippines and is worth visiting. I feel that it is not enough to spend a whole day.

Capas National Shrine, The Obelisk standing in the middle of a former concentration camp in Barangau Arenguren, was built to commemorate the Allied soldiers who died at Camp O'Donnell at the end of the Bataan Death March during the Second World War. Now,a very popular tourist destinations specializing for riders, the Shrine stands tall amidst the vast greenery perfect for an afternoon walk. A few attractions like the hanging bridge was also incorporated which surely gets the attention of those who go either to remember, or simply take pictures.

It was built to honor and remember the gallantry of Filipino and American soldiers who fought against the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. Inside the place, there is also a World War 2 museum that commemorates the events that transpired in wartime Bataan.#worldwar2#battleofBataan

Cemeteries

This cemetery is different from other cemeteries I have been to. The rows of houses are combined like a community. The history of this cemetery is also very interesting. Some people live here and they are the gatekeepers of these family graves. The best moment is the Halloween, where food carts are everywhere and the streets are crowded with people who remember the dead from all over the place. Manila is crowded, but there are places that are often overlooked by tourists, and my first choice for visiting the city is Ayala, the Spanish King City and the Chinese Cemetery. They reflect the uniqueness of Manila. The US military memorial cemetery is nice and moving, but in a way similar to Arlington National Cemetery. But the Chinese cemetery is very different, the various mausoleums (a few in traditional Chinese style) look like real houses, with restaurants, bathrooms, etc. so that families can gather around their ancestors more easily. Some people come to visit often, and even a dog is guarding it!

Malacanang is the seat of the Philippine presidential palace, the highest administrative center of the Republic of the Philippines, and also serves as a place for the country to receive important foreign guests. Raiders including Trip.com say that you can book online to visit. I went to the Philippines in April and it was not possible! First of all, the presidential palace reservation website is a display, you can try it if you don't believe it. Good luck! Secondly, when you arrive at the door, the guards are very polite to tell you that you can't visit. Third, the road around the presidential palace is heavily guarded, can not take pictures, stay, otherwise plain clothes will come to check your documents and question...
