Meizhou Dongshan College has a long history, founded in 1746, it is the predecessor of Guangdong famous school Dongshan Middle School. The academy is antique, and now it has become a place where candidates come to worship and place their wishes. Candidates will write their wishes or want to take the exam in the red cloth strip, which is hung in the academy. Dongshan College is a cultural relics protection unit in Guangdong Province, showing many precious historical materials, it is worth going to see.
Free attractions, just near the Hakka Museum, you can take a look. The three tall ancient trees in front of the door mark the historical trajectory of this academy, highlighting its value. There is a Kuixing Pavilion upstairs in the academy, and children who are studying can make a wish here. The entire academy building is not gorgeous.
After visiting the Meizhou Hakka Museum, I went out of the main entrance. The bridge across the road was Dongshan College. This was established during the Qing Dynasty. Marshal Ye Jianying also studied here. The courtyard of the college is not very big. There are three floors. The highest Kuixing Building can also accept prayer and worship. The second floor is an exhibition of some school history, and you can feel the tranquil atmosphere of the college while hanging out.
