Beautiful park for a stroll
It is not a massive park but what there is, is beautifully maintained and a joy to walk around. There are cherry trees in spring. There is also a lake with ducks in so take a bag of bread if you are w...
It is a park at the foot of Mt. Sakado, where Sakado Castle, where Kagekatsu Uesugi and Kanetsugu Naoe spent their childhood, was built.

Zenbuchi Park was on the right side of National Highway 291, which runs about 5km north of Undoan, which has a history of over 1,200 years. This park is located at the foot of Mt. Sakado, where Sakado Castle, where Kagekatsu Uesugi and Kanetsugu Naoe spent their childhood, was built. It is a beautiful park with bridges, ponds, rest areas, etc. in the park. In the park, there is a statue of 'kiheiji (later kagekatsu Uesugi) and yoroku (later Kanetsugu Naoe)', and there is also the Kanetsugu Naoe Koden Seikan, so look back on the history around here ...
About 20 minutes walk from Mukkamachi station. A park built at the foot of Mt. Sakado in 1996 to coincide with the river improvement of the Uono River. The promenade is developed mainly in the pond with fountains, and it can be walked while watching the well maintained planting. The cherry blossom viewing spot is also held, but when I visited (early May), the cherry blossoms were almost scattered.
There are shops during the cherry blossom season and there are lit up at night. You can also enjoy the cherry blossoms along the Uono River and the snow-covered mountain 々 that you can see in the background at the same time. The best time to see is even during the daytime on weekdays. Even outside the cherry blossom season, there are ponds and green hills, so you can enjoy a walk.
Naoe Kanetsugu Kodenseikan is also located in Senbuchi Park, so I walked a little after seeing the Denseikan. I think it's a good place to take a walk in a large park.
