About 15 minutes walk from Mino Ota station. A museum along the old Nakasendo. Free admission. Souvenirs and locally produced vegetables are sold in front of the entrance. In the exhibition room on the right hand, there are the town of OTA juku, the relocated main gate, the model of the daikansho, the historical materials and the commentary panel. At the end, it was a special exhibition corner, and when I visited the museum, "Edo common culture flower < Senryu >" was held. When you walk around Ota-juku, it's a good idea to buy knowledge here.
It is an exhibition facility in the middle of the old townscape of Ota-juku, with local product shops and restaurants. You can understand the state of the post station and the travel appearance at that time, so I think it's a good idea to visit first when walking around the city. You can also see the Kiso River, which was one of the three major difficult points of Nakasendo, "Ota no Watari". You can also visit the Itoyuan, a house related to Ippei Okamoto (the father of Taro Okamoto and the husband of Kanoko Okamoto), who established the word "manga".
A facility opposite Ota-juku Honjin. There is an exhibition that shows what Ota-juku was at that time, and there is also a rest and dining corner, a shop selling special products and souvenirs. The parking lot is large, and I parked my car here and walked around the post town. The Kiso River also flows behind.
