Learn the history of Christianity in Nagasaki

    Original Text

This museum allows you to learn a lot about Christianity in Nagasaki. You can learn from a 々 perspective, such as its historical changes and hardships, Christian culture, and influence on Japan. However, since the amount of materials is quite large, it may be difficult to read all of them ... I think that if you read all of them, you will be able to get quite detailed.

Visit with Oura Tenshu Do hall

    Original Text

It is a building of the late Edo period on the premises of Oura Catholic Church, and is now actively used as a dormitory for seminary students "Nagasaki Corregio". The last building by Father Doro, who built many Christian facilities such as the Detsu Church, was made of bricks and some Japanese tiles, giving a simple but classical impression.

With the admission ticket to Oura Catholic Church, I was able to enter this museum. This building was built as the office of the priest, and the current building was built in 1915 years. The museum exhibited the relationship between Nagasaki and Christianity in a historical way ...

it was built as the priest's office.

    Original Text

From Glover Street to Oura Catholic Church, you will climb dozens of stone steps. On the right side of the stone steps was the former Archbishop of Nagasaki. It is a heavy brick 3 building. It seems that it was in this area before the construction of Oura Catholic Church, and the current building was rebuilt in 1915 year. It was a Christian Museum along with the former Raten Seminary in the back (upper) of this building.
