Tateyama Sun and Sakura

#cherryblossom2024 Pink and white splendor Tateyama Park is spread out on terraces along the hillsides above Nagasaki. It is always popular with picnickers, and in the cherry blossom season it dresses in white and pink and becomes an ideal place for hanami. How to get there The park is easily accessible by bus from Shinchi Bus Station or JR Nagasaki Station. The trip will take about 15 minutes (the exact time depends on traffic jams). Admire the flowers When 700 sakura trees are in bloom, the park is drowned in pale pink and white. Pink lanterns are burning between the trees, which make this picture even more magical. Hanami Time The custom of having a picnic under the cherry blossoms, or hanami, is the quintessence of Japanese traditions. Buy food at one of the local shops or kiosks and relax under a "canopy" of flowering branches. The park is open all day and the paths are illuminated with lanterns, so you can stay here all night. From the end of March to the beginning of April, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, food stalls are open everywhere. Try a little of everything and choose your favorite dish while strolling through the festive park.
