Yakushiji Temple

A bit far from the city, I waited for 20 minutes from Tang Zhaoti Temple and didn't come by bus. I walked to the attraction for 16:28 minutes, only 30 minutes left! Really good!

In 680, Emperor Tianwu built a monastery with the primordial dignity of the pharmacist in Fujiwara in order to pray for the early recovery of the disease of the queen (later the emperor of the reign of the emperor) in Fujiwara. However, the monastery has not been completed, but the emperor of Tianwu has died, and the successor emperor of the reigning emperor and the emperor of the martial arts continued to build the monastery, which was completed in about 698. Tianyan first year (973) was burned down, except for the temple of the Buddha and the two towers of the east and west. After several reconstructions, today, in addition to the East Tower, he such as the Buddha Hall, the lecture hall, the East Courtyard Hall, etc., are all buildings of the Edo era. The East Tower is a triple tower, each with a glaze layer (Figure 4 ⃣️), shaped like a six-fold tower, the remains of Nara's early stage, with the nine rounds of the upper part of the additional plume pattern as the most beautiful. The three statues of the pharmacist Buddha, which are also the masterpieces of the early gold and bronze Buddha statues of Nara, are still black and bright on the surface (open for a fixed period). In 1991, the construction of the new temple as the Xuanxu Sanzangyuan Galan was completed (Figure 8 ⃣️, Figure 9 ⃣️). As a tribute to the Chinese style of Galan, the high monk Xuanxuan of the Tang Dynasty, who is widely known for his novel "Traveling to the West", Pingshan Yufu Painting Bo created "Datang Western Region murals" (public at a fixed time).

The temple is located in the west of Nara city of Jingyu, Nara City. The main Buddha worships the pharmacist as one of the seven major temples in Nara. The temple is the temple that the emperor of Tianwu made a wish to build in 680 to pray for the recovery of the Queen's disease.

Founded in the 7th century, this temple complex boasts a graceful pagoda and a rich collection of ancient sculptures. It's a prime example of Nara's cultural heritage and Buddhist architecture

It must be mentioned that the pharmacist temple is very delicious and super delicious. I ordered a pot meal to make a long time soon after the shop opened, and it was really delicious (I was near Jilucheng). Pharmacist Temple is one of the world heritage sites in Nara. It is as famous as Dongda Temple and Tang Zhaoti Temple. It's far from the city centre, so there are fewer tourists. The East Tower is being rebuilt, so there is one less scenic spot to see. The ticket is 800 yen, which seems to be higher in several monasteries.

The Pharmacist Temple was built in the ninth year of Emperor Tianwu (680). In 1998, it was included in the World Heritage List as part of the historical relics of Gunaira. In 680, Emperor Tianwu built a Buddhist temple in Fujiwara to pray for the early recovery of the Queen's disease (later Emperor Hantang). However, the monastery has not yet been completed, but the Emperor of Tianwu died unfortunately. The successor Emperor of Wenwu continued to build the monastery, which was completed in about 698. Later, because the capital city moved to Pingchengjing, the monastery moved to its present location in 718. At that time, Jintang, known as Dragon Palace was the center of the building. There were many buildings such as East-West twin towers, lectures, corridors and so on. Since then, because of the fire in 1973 and the war in 1528, all the buildings except the East Tower and the East Courtyard Hall almost disappeared.
