it seems that it was the family temple of the otomo family.

I went to the Nanban BVNGO Exchange Center and stopped by to learn about the temple here. From the Nanban BVNGO Exchange Center, you will be on the sea side across National Highway 10. The surrounding roads are narrow. During the time of Sorin Otomo, it was around the BVNGO Exchange Center, and it seems that it was a fairly vast site. The mountain gate and main hall are well preserved as old as they are in a Zen temple.
I visited Oita for the first time in a long time when I went to Oita in November. Manjuji Temple is an old temple of the Rinzai sect Myoshinji school, about a 20-minute walk from Oita Station. It is a temple in the city, but it is a quiet and relaxing Zen temple. There are various buildings in the precincts such as the mountain gate, the main gate, the main hall, the back of the warehouse, the zendo, and the corridor. It seems that you can do zazen on Sundays. Since it was an early morning worship, the people at the temple were cleaning it. Nearby, there are Raigoji Temple and Daichiji Temple. It is a recommended spot for those who are interested in shrines and temples ...
The main hall, Kannon-do, and Sanmon were lined up, which was very impressive.

I stopped by when I visited Oita. It boasts a wide 々 precinct for the city, and the main hall, Kannon-do, and mountain gates were lined up, which was very impressive. Moreover, the site was well maintained and I had a good feeling.
It is a very beautiful temple during the cherry blossom season. It's in the city, but there's one road, so I think many people don't know it. Everyone is always cleaning the area around the temple. I used to have zazen on Sunday, but now I don't know.

There are a lot of people coming on Sunday.

Silently.
It is a fairly large temple that stands quietly in the city of Oita. Sometimes, it seems that the monk of Dhutanga 々 is in the city.
