Located on the north side of Locarno, the hilltop is a small residential area with some striking modern architecture. It offers a fuller view of the opposite side of the mountain than the Virgin Mary Church of Sasso. It can be reached by cableway or drive up the mountaintop. Kaldada is the sunnyest mountain in Switzerland in winter. It takes only 5 minutes to reach Kardada by the air cable car designed by renowned architect Mario Botta.

Take the cable car to the Kardada Observation Deck, with the cable car slowly heading to the top of the mountain, with a panoramic view of the town of Locarno. The Kardada Observation Deck is a beautiful bridge suspended between the forest canopy. Standing here, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Maggiore, Cinto Valli and the Machia Valley in 180 degrees. This observation deck, known as one of Switzerland's five amazing landscape designs, may be a challenge for people who are afraid of heights, because the platform is really abyss.
