Spectacular View from the top of the Montaigne Noir
This is the highest point in the Montaigne Noir. It was breezy and chilly, which was a great drive and escape from the lower elevations. The view across to the Pyrenees is breathtaking!
An easy drive up from some of the towns.You can see the clouds below and there are some lovely wild flowers at the top.Parking is easy and no need for a lot of walking.
To follow up from the July review I just cycled up Pic de Nore and the gravel on the road has now settled out and is an excellent climb to do by bike. Road surface now good all the way up. 22km up fro...
