Of the three torch towers of the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics, one of them is left at the Hokkaido Makomanai Park Outdoor Stadium (commonly known as Makomanai Sekisuiheim Stadium), which was the venue for the opening ceremony. It is a work of industrial designer Sori Yanagi who was active in the 20th century, and it is characterized by a form like a wave on a straight pole. Audience seats are open for competitions, so you can see them from a close distance, but you can usually visit them for free only from the field. ...

１９７２ The opening ceremony venue for the Sapporo Olympics held in the year is here. Currently, it is a facility in Makomanai Park, and it seems that tennis courts are usually installed. In addition, ７ Fireworks festivals are held here in the month and are also used as venues for various sports events.
