The documentary film run at the museum tells the history of the large local protest against the dam construction.

I paid a visit to the Miboro Dam-side Park on my way back to Takayama from Shirakawa-go. This is a facility open to the public and operated by J-Power, the government-owned power development company t...

On the way from Shirakawa-go to Takayama, I found a rockfill dam with stones stacked up to a considerable height, so I went to the dam side park in front of me. I was able to get a popular dam card at the information center at the entrance.

A facility where you can understand the history of the construction of the Mimoi Dam and the feelings for Shokawa Sakura. I am grateful that admission is free. You can also get a dam card, so it's irresistible for dam enthusiasts.

The contents of the exhibition are substantial, and you can see the dam itself and its surroundings well. It is located overlooking the dam's embankment, and power-related facilities are right next to it. I am very satisfied with the dam card. You can go to the levee from the immediate vicinity.
