Serene and peaceful
When you go out the north exit of JR Takatsuki station and walk about 5 minutes, you can arrive the entrance of this shrine. But from this point, you have to climb stairs and walk another 5~6 minutes....
We were staying in Shin Osaka and I had some spare time so took a train ride out to Takatsuki just for the fun of it. Strolled the Main Street and noticed a road leading up a very steep hill. Trudged ...
Tenjin, a shrine that enshrines Sugawara no Michizane on a small hill, 10 minutes north of Takatsuki Station. It is said to be the oldest Tenjin after Dazaifu Tenmangu. Originally, it was where Mr. Sugawara's ancestor, Nomi Sukune, was enshrined. If you go up the stone steps and a slightly steep slope, you will find the worship hall, and the main shrine is behind it. During the Warring States period, military commanders such as Nobunaga and Hideyoshi also set up camp here. There is also a parking lot.
I heard that I could worship with my pet, and when I went to the pet worship place in the back, I was warned that "Dogs pee so don't let them walk." New Year's Eve 々 I felt very uncomfortable. Besides, a woman from the office said, "I used to be prohibited from pets." If you are prohibited from bringing pets & walking, I would like you to post a poster or recommend caution on the homepage.
I went on January 3rd. The main shrine was lined up quite a bit, but at the Wannyan shrine behind the main shrine. I was able to greet my dog and his family quickly. It may be close to Takatsuki Station, but the slope is a little tight. I enjoyed drawing Omikuji.
