CHOHBEY
I stopped by while walking around the area.

After my errands at the Faculty of Agriculture, the University of Tokyo, I had a little time, so I took a walk around the area and met this old residence. Not only the monument but also the stone statue of the cat was cute to Nyan.
I learned that there is a historic site related to Soseki Natsume and visited it. Unfortunately, there was no building, and there was nothing to surpass that time in just a vacant lot. However, there was a statue of a cat on the wall. According to the explanation board with the commentary on the historic site, it seems that it was a place after Mr. Soseki Natsume's work "I am a cat".
This is where Soseki Natsume lived when he wrote "I am a cat" and became a model. Before that, Ogai Mori lived in the same place, so it seems that it was a place called a promotion room.
10 minutes walk from Honkomagome station. The former residence where Soseki Natsume lived for three years from 1897. The house has been relocated to "Meiji Village" and now only a monument stands. It is a place where there is no meaning to visit except for Soseki Natsume.
Shushishanfang Memorial Hall すぐ Liにある Shushi Former Residence

From Ushigome Yanagimachi on the Toei Subway Oedo Line, turn left at the Insurance Center Intersection. Or, from Waseda Station on the Tozai Line, turn right at the Bentencho intersection in the east of 600m and turn right at the Insurance Center intersection. Immediately after getting off at the Toei Bus Shira61, bus stop "Ushigome Health Center" or "Ushigome Bentencho". The site of a house where Soseki was born and raised. It seems that the original house disappeared due to the air raid, but an information center is being built in the same place. Just behind the Sosekiyamabo Memorial Hall ...
