Ryogoku

"Ryogoku Kokugikan" and "Edo-Tokyo Museum" are the two symbolic buildings in this area. Here, you can experience the Edo Castle in the past through a realistic model, feel the breath of the Sumo City coming to your face, and enjoy the street scene of the former common people. The Ryogoku area includes Japan's Kokugikan and Sumo Museum, and is the paradise and home of Japanese sumo. The "National Arena" here held competitions as early as 300 years ago. The district includes a number of "sumo houses" for sumo accommodation and training, so it's not surprising to meet sumo wrestlers on the road. The meat and vegetarian cooking hot pot restaurant is a special restaurant for sumo wrestlers to dine and taste stewed dishes. The Sumo Museum houses the memoirs of some well-known wrestlers, and the exhibits are usually changed every few months.
