It's between Sumida Ward Office and Sumida River.
Original Text
It is on the east side of Sumida Ward Office and on the banks of the Sumida River. Kaishu Katsu was explained under the statue that the statue was made in 1823 year and was born in 180 year (a little halfway?) 2003 year. Next year is the year of birth 200, so it will be even more exciting. The statue was staring downstream of the Sumida River 々.
This is a statue in the park in front of Sumida Ward Office on Riverpia Azuma Bridge. Katsu Kaishu is said to have led Japan at the end of the Edo period, and he imagined a new Japan and aimed at the United States.
There is a statue in the park adjacent to Sumida Ward Office. The scenery is quite good in the place overlooking the Sumida River. There is also a park with beautiful cherry blossoms nearby.
Meet as a tourist exploring Honjo Fukagawa in mid-December. The location is in the park maintained at the foot of Sumida Ward Office. The first impression is surprisingly small. I have to increase the size to the extent that foreign tourists can be surprised by the view from the sightseeing bus running on the Metropolitan Expressway!
Katsu Kaishu was born in Ryogoku, Sumida Ward, and is now praised for his birth with a large stone monument in Ryogoku Park. The end ended his life at the edge of the wash pond in Ota Ward. The statue of Sumidagawa Terrace here is a magnificent figure with eyes open for the opening of Japan.
