I went early in the morning (~8) so they were still sweeping the area but I immediately felt all tension melt away. Walking the ground, you get a feel for how big the shrine is.

Great location with a bridge before. we where there during the festival so there where a lot of extra decorations including the Bulls. Temple itself is not big but also a nice one.

You can walk from Uwajima station in a few minutes.

I worshiped when I stayed in Uwajima city. It is about a 10-minute walk from Uwajima Station. There is a large stone torii gate, and the main shrine and the main shrine are located up the stone steps.
