Beautiful clean kettle pond. Great way to cool off at the end of the day. Refreshing, warm, clean water.
Terrible to tourists
Great if you live in the area, but terrible to tourists that feed this economy. No opportunity to park and no opportunity to park anywhere and hike here. Never going back to Wellfleet.
A lovely setting
beautiful calm lake with crystal clear waters. Sit amongst the pine trees an a tiny sandy area if you kind find a spot and skin in the lake. A lovely morning out for our family.

I have never seen a lake with such clear water. There isn’t much of a beach for sunbathers, but plenty of shade, even while swimming and a nice sandy bottom that goes well over six feet deep and still...
No Beach this year - 2019
With the a winter storms and accumulated rain, there is no beach this year at Great Pond. There is a very small area to the west of the stairs between Great Pond and a swampy area but it’s not very w...
