🐍 This isn't a living organism, it's magma! A 300-meter-long andesite vein plunges into the Sea of Japan 🌋 A physical masterpiece of differential erosion

Content: On the coast of Tangyin, a giant "black serpent" has emerged from the land and burrowed into the Sea of Japan.

This isn't a myth; it's a violent scene of geology.

The body of this "serpent" is andesite.

Millions of years ago, molten magma forced its way into fissures in the earth's strata and cooled.

Over time, the surrounding softer sandstone and mudstone were eroded away by the waves, leaving only this extremely hard "dike." This is the result of differential erosion. About 1 meter wide and over 300 meters long, it lies exposed on the coast, displaying an "unyielding hardness." The joints formed as the rock cooled are clearly visible, like the scales of a snake.

Walk directly on the back of this "snake" (be careful of the waves) until you reach the rocky reef at the shore.

It feels like stepping on the "blood vessels of the earth." Cool lava flows beneath your feet, and the raging Sea of Japan surges to either side. This is the perfect outdoor classroom to showcase the differences in "rock strength."

1. Snake Head Perspective: Walk to the very front of the rock formation and turn around to photograph how this black rock cuts through the coastline like a spine.

2. Long Exposure: Use a neutral density filter and a slow shutter speed to blur the waves, highlighting the immovable, black texture of this "snake."
