The 8th Annual Playing for a Purpose Women's Tennis Tournament 2024 is an event that brings together women of all levels who share a passion for tennis and a desire to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged youth in North Texas. For the past seven years, this tournament has provided an opportunity for women to compete in doubles matches while supporting a worthy cause. Taking place indoors at the beautiful Life Time Tennis Center in Plano, Texas, this event promises to be a day filled with excitement and camaraderie. Registration for the tournament opens on January 3, 2024, at 8:30 am, so mark your calendars! The tournament will be held on February 3, 2024, starting at 2:30 pm. Check-in and warm-up will begin at 2:00 pm (1:30 pm for those who have purchased the warm-up drill). This year, there will also be an opportunity for players to participate in a 30-minute warm-up drill led by the talented pros Umang Chadda and __xxxx__ from Lifetime. With only 16 spots available, make sure to secure your spot early. The tournament is limited to eight players per court, and the entrance fee is $25. Dinner will be provided to players by Torchy's Tacos at 5:45 pm. For friends and family who wish to join, dinner tickets can be purchased online. In addition, there will be Mystery bags and Heads & Tails tickets available for purchase. To add some excitement to the game, players can also buy Mulligans, which can be used to claim the Winner Title. One Mulligan per player per round can be used either on the serve or the return of serve. Make sure to purchase the Mulligans before the start of play. The event will conclude at 7:15 pm.
