This class will build on the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2, pushing students to make more grounded, sustaining improv scene choices. This course will be taught by Shannon Poulsen, Director of Curriculum and cast member in TBD: The Improvised Musical! and Ladies Who Lounge. The course meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm for a total of six class sessions. Class will NOT take place on November 5th (Election Day). Classes will take place in either our Hashtag Comedy Club (1253 N. High Street) or an alternative location. You will be informed at least two weeks prior to the class of the final location. Students will perform in an improv showcase after the classes are completed. The showcase for this course will take place November 19th from 8:00pm-9:00pm in our Hashtag Comedy Theatre (1253 N. High Street). In addition to classes and a showcase, students will also receive a complimentary ticket to a Hashtag Comedy show. Students must have completed Level 2 in our curriculum. Welcome to MS Amy's Kid’s art class! This class is a fun and creative experience where children can explore their artistic talents. All materials are supplied, instruction included, and projects are planned for all abilities. The event will take place at Cherry Street Pier in Philadelphia, PA, USA. The kid's classes are every 1st and 3rd Tuesday 5-6:30pm and every 1st and 3rd Saturday 11-12:30pm in studio 13. Cherry street pier is a very family friendly location. There are Food trucks, a full bar, and artist studios. There is a large open area that hosts craft shows, concerts, and movies plus 2 galleries. In honor of American Archives Month and DesignPhiladelphia, Lisa Marie Patzer and Deb Rudman share about their creative work incorporating archival material in contemporary design and multimedia storytelling. The conversation, moderated by Chase Dougherty, The Delaware Contemporary, Gretchen Hupfel Curator of Contemporary Art, will touch on themes of storytelling, memory, technology, and preservation of domestic archives through design. The event includes prints and illuminated art panels from Chromatographic Landscapes by Lisa Marie Patzer as well as the video Sample Portrait by Deb Rudman and a 35mm slide show of Ben Kabakow’s photographic archives.
