Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association's Fit Forum will be an opportunity for Fitness Leaders to attend in-person educational workshops. Fit Forum will provide Fitness Leaders with new knowledge that they can implement into their classes immediately, along with continuing education credits.

Session Description:
This interactive three-hour workshop will help fitness leaders understand what happens during the body during menopause and how to train, fuel, and recover for optimal wellness. Participants will learn about hormonal changes and their effects on muscle, bone density, fat distribution, energy, sleep, and mood, along with evidence-based strategies for nutrition, strength training, and lifestyle support.
The session includes practical guidance on effective exercise programming in menopause, featuring a sample full-body workout and clear weekly training structure. Injury prevention is emphasized, with a focus on common midlife concerns and targeted exercises to support joints, connective tissue, and mobility. Attendees will leave with key takeaways and practical tools that they can start using right away.
The session will be part lecture and part workout.
Attendees will receives 3 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for this event.
