At the invitation of the Musée national Picasso-Paris, Argentine artist Guillermo Kuitca (b. 1961) has created a site-specific work in the chapel of the Hôtel Salé. Since his intervention at the Venice Biennale in 2007, Kuitca has developed a new language, echoing the architecture, which the artist calls ‘cubistoid painting’, in which a set of intersecting lines, like so many folds in the plane, is deployed directly on the walls, forming a new pictorial space.

As a testament to the institution's history and global openness, this exhibition highlights the core narrative of the Foundation's collection, which has grown gradually through long-term curatorial practice. Bringing together nearly six hundred works by over one hundred artists, the exhibition offers the public a precious opportunity to rediscover and re-appreciate these artistic creations.

This exhibition brings together six major works by the artist over fifty years: *Ballad of Sexual Dependence* (1981–2022), her masterpiece; *The Other Side* (1992–2021), a tribute to her transgender friends photographed between 1972 and 2010; *Sisters, Saints, Prophets* (2004–2022), witnessing family trauma and the taboo of suicide; *Amnesia* (2019–2021), a suffocating journey of withdrawal; *Siren* (2019–2020), a journey of immersion in drug euphoria; and *Stendhal Syndrome* (2024), a work based on six myths from Ovid's *Metamorphoses*, exploring the state of collapse described by Stendhal caused by the overwhelming beauty of art.

Alexandre Lenoir, born in 1992, primarily paints landscapes, often featuring ghostly figures indifferent to the viewer. His works draw inspiration from carefully selected photographs capturing fleeting moments, yet they exude an arrogant naturalism, which he deliberately preserves as arbitrary. He doesn't strive for realistic depiction of nature, but rather employs an alchemical technique, creating works that appear effortlessly natural, almost untouched by the artist. These familiar scenes, bathed in dazzling light, radiate an unexpected melancholy. At the 16th Contemporary Art Counterpoint exhibition at the Musée de l'Orangerie, Alexandre Lenoir will exhibit four previously unseen paintings.Lenoir creates images that withstand the test of time—both the passage of time between photograph and painting, and the slow process required for the painting itself. He first applies countless layers of paint to numerous small pieces of tape, from the lightest to the darkest, these tapes alternating to cover and reveal the canvas. This process reconstructs the projected image upon which the painting is based, while deliberately avoiding any "romantic" effects.

The exhibition is divided into five sections—"Two Legendary Artists," "Nature and Antiquity: Reshaping Patterns," "Unfinished Works," "Flesh and Soul," and "Energy and Life"—juxtaposing marble, bronze, plaster, terracotta, and casting works with a rich collection of paintings. The exhibition route focuses on the issues of form and concept, which is precisely the shared creative pursuit of the two artists: to reveal the inner energy of the human body.

This exhibition will showcase approximately 300 works, comprehensively tracing Calder's artistic career over nearly fifty years. It encompasses his most iconic "Mobiles" and "Stabiles," as well as various creative types including painting, drawing, line portraiture, wood carving, jewelry, and stage experimental works, presenting his continuous exploration and breakthroughs in the language of "movement, balance, and space."

The fair brings together top galleries and art institutions from around the world, showcasing masterpieces of modern and contemporary art. It also features multiple sections such as Galeries (main gallery), Emergence (emerging artists), and Premise (curated projects), presenting a diverse range of artistic styles.
