There is Hozenji Temple is one of the smallest temples where one can find peace and solitude although the temple is ironically placed in the middle of the crowded streets of Namba along with Shittenoji which was the first temple funded by the state after Buddhism entered Japan. Another attraction is the Osaka Castle which was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in the 1500s.
