Kilford Arms

The Kilford Arms is a small, comfortable hotel. My wife and I stayed here on the last night of our tour. We had a very large room, with one queen and three twin beds. We only needed the queen. Our room had four chairs, which was a very pleasant surprise, as I don't think I've ever seen more than two chairs before. The room had a large area to hang clothes, and also provided some storage by the desk. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well.

Excellent location. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, despite being busy. Room was very clean, bright and well presented. Good ambience in the lobby area, as well as the bar. We will definitely return.

Location was great; easy to walk to everything we wanted to see. The room was clean and had all we needed. Like all other hotels in Ireland, there is no air conditioning in the room, but the fan provided in the room helped a bit on what was probably an unusually warm summer evening. Breakfast was very good, too. The hotel bar was nice, with live music in the evening, too. Just be aware that if your room is facing the road and your window is open, it could be noisy at night due to surrounding bars/pubs. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here last night with friends. Received a very warm welcome! All staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. Twin room was small and dated but didn’t bother us as we just needed somewhere to throw the head after drinks. Rooms coule really do with black out blinds or curtains. We were late down for breakfast but the girl obliged us with possibly the nicest breakfast I've ever received in a hotel/b&b. Would definitely stay here again. nothing fancy but comfy clean beds, amazing hospitality and best breakfast ever. Great value for money also

This is a beautiful hotel, We had a few small issues with our room not being serviced on the second day of our stay. Also on the third day the bed was made up, but we were left with no towels or water. I had to ask one of the housekeepers on tje corridor for towels. Not what you would expect from a four star hotel . Breakfast was a big let down, the full Irish was like something you would get in a petrol station deli counter. Cheapest of ingredients the bacon and sausage and hash brown were disgusting . This in no way was a four star breakfast. We asked for soft eggs and on both mornings the were like hockey pucks, Also the coffee in the bar is dreadful. An espresso arrived in a tea cup!! I have to say the plus + rooms were fab and spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. It would rake very little to really make this an amazing hotel I would start with the quality of the breakfast .There were two staff members who were absolutely outstanding and made up for the shortcomings of other departments . Helena and Tony were exemplary They epitomize how things should be done.Without doubt Helena and Tony need to be recognised for their friendliness and being so helpful. Also the night porter on Monday night was top and the young Irish lad behind the bar Probably wouldn't stay again because of the housekeeping and terrible breakfast.

Just back from a two night stay at this hotel and on arrival was greeted by friendly Staff and concierge... Was too early for check in but went for a drink and then they phoned to let me know room was ready...bags were dropped to room so no holding on to luggage.. Room was OKAY but surprised that bed was only a double and bathroom door was a sliding door so when u got up to go in the middle of the night the door creaked and the light from the bathroom lit up so bright my partner woke up... Our meal was in the grill and bar which was lovely and the staff couldnt do enough for us but do you HAVE to put so many tables in that we were placed with one of us staring at a wall that I felt so claustrophobic I asked for another table which was no problem... The meal was lovely and after we relaxed with a lovely cocktail listening to a good band to end the night off... Went for a spa treatment the next day and after giving our details the girl she brought us down to the spa.. Opened the door and said enjoy.... NOT showing us What .. Where.. Or how things worked or where things were!!! Used the indoor /outdoor pool which was lovely but that's really all I can say as that's about all that worked (sauna didn't have any heat 😕treatment was lovely but wouldn't consider this spa to be one of my top 5 or 10... Breakfast was good (buffet style the first day and service to the table the second day) staff ABSOLUTELY wonderful.. Over all had a lovely weekend..
