Marino Beach Resort
4.5/52 Reviews
This hotel is in a beautiful location having easy access to the beach adjoining the property and the property it itself very beautiful. Amazing swimming pool which should have some rules as others guest are swimming without hairnet be it ladies also as personally i think that is too unhygienic plus a pool charge of 30/- is taken whenever you jump in the pool which I think is baseless where i am paying a good amount of money for the room, then why should any other charges is taken. The main problem here is that food is really too expensive over here .I think two pieces of egg sandwich cannot be priced at RS-85/anywhere plus the portioning of other dishes is also less compared to the price.. Could have been better seeing the de***d of this property if they can reconsider their pricing it will be great . Overall except the food, all in all a good place to come and enjoy
Mohana Beach Resorts Mandarmani

What comes to mind as the best advantage for Mohana Beach Resort is its locational advantage. While coming from Kolkata to Digha, if you take a left turn from Chaul Khola bus stop, around 10 kms inside is this resort. The approach road is uneven, not properly built. If you come by usual state transport bus, ensure you have a transportation to reach the resort, because no bus plies to ***darmoni. You will have to take a three-wheeler auto or a car that will provide the last-mile connectivity. It might cost around 300/- for that short distance. In fact, on the coastline visible in ***darmoni, Mohana Beach Resort is almost the farthest (Last but one) property. ”There are 36 rooms in total.”- I learned from the hotel staff. There are three types of rooms that are available- 3000, 4000, and 4500.(Excludes GST). The 3000 Rs rooms are on the building in two floors. The 4500 and above rooms may have a sea-view and a balcony at times. The beach is right outside the property's inside gate. ***darmoni beach does not offer the thrill of high waves of the sea. The sea here is quiet, docile and far off the sand beach. I visited in December 2020, in the winter season. The water hardly ever came closer to the resort. They water comes very close to the resort in the summer and monsoon, but not during the winters, I was told. We stayed in room 1001. The cost being 3000+ the room size has very small. The bathroom was clean, bedsheets, pillow covers clean. There is a small, toe-dipping swimming pool. So, do not expect to do a 50 meters lap or a dive in the pool. You can barely get your body beneath the water. The restaurent offers traditional bengali cuisine, indo-chinese (Noodles, chilli chicken, chilli fish, garlic chicken etc.) There is not much space inside the restaurant. Food is alright, but portion size is adequate for one person only. Rice, dal, chicken, mutton, fish posto, aloo parwal, aloo gobi, paneer are some options available for you to eat. There is a separate evening snacks and bar counter called Mohana Cafe. Apart from usual hard drink options, you can also try out hookah here. As side dishes, you will get Chicken kebabs, fish tikkas, paneer tikkas etc. The bartender has good sense of music. The mornings start with Hare Rama, the evenings are filled with old bengali songs or Rabindra Sangeet. As the evening progresses, the music changes to peppy, hindi numbers. You can get beer, whiskey, vodka, Thums up, Pepsi, Sprite, breezers. Tea is 25/- Coffee 40/- Katla fish 100/- Dal 70/-. Breakafast is complimentary, but not a whole lot of options. Bread, butter, jam, boiled egg, pooris, and one vegetable made of potato. That's what you will get. ***darmoni does not have a whole lot of things to do or a whole lot of good/star rated hotels. If you are one who wants to tick off ”15 places I visited”, sort of a tourist, ***darmoni is not the place for you. There is nothing to ”do.” If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday for a day, you can look for a resort. T
