It's really the best... First of all, it's just the best. The location is close to the subway station and the supermarket, and I can feel that they put a lot of thought into the interior of the room. There's also an elevator, so I could easily move my luggage. The service is also hotel-level. They cleaned the room, provided water and towels, and prepared a welcome drink. The heater was on so I stayed warm, and they even helped me with the laundry. They even distributed white and black clothes. I was very impressed, the owner was very kind and spoke English. If possible, if you go to Porto, be sure to stay here!

Impeccable stay at Utopian Hotels. From the second you walk in, you feel like you’re home. Great Location Ideally located a short walk away from all the best restaurants and boutiques in Porto in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood, making you feel like a local! This place feels like a hidden gem and made my trip to Porto perfect.

It's a very nice hotel. It provides breakfast with a variety of varieties. The grandma in the restaurant is very kind. She especially likes the croissants from Monday to Wednesday. It is the best I have ever eaten. Please note that it is not the small croissant coated with sugar on the outside.
In addition, if friends who like pizza go to the local area, they must try the pizza there. At that time, I just wanted to finish it quickly and continue to open the map, so I randomly found a restaurant and ordered the Oporto Bella Margheritta, which is about 10 euros and 12 inches. The first bite left an impression on me. The experience of eating pizza for the first time. After eating it, you will unconsciously start to question what the long pizza-like things you have eaten before are. Increase the amount

We have just completed two nights at Turista Trinidade. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean, lovely comfortable bed and fantastically powerful shower (almost too powerful… on full power it blew itself out of the holder! 😂) The communication with the host was spot on. Access via a code was easy and reliable and they arranged an airport transfer for a very reasonable price. The room is a little out of the centre, uphill, so this should be kept in mind for anyone with mobility issues but for us we just saw it as an opportunity to burn a few extra calories and indulge in more sangria / Franceshina sandwiches! Would definitely stay again

The location is invincible. It’s close to everywhere. The rooms are remodeled in the old house. I don’t like it very much, but the sanitation of the rooms is okay. The hotel staff are very warm and friendly. I will definitely say hello when I see them, and I will explain to you if you ask some questions. Clearly, breakfast is not bad, generally simple breakfast in Europe is worth the price.

Perfectly located, charming place to stay, wonderful staff! I stayed here for two nights and was able to arrange airport pickup through messaging through my booking app. Once I arrived I was checked in promptly and had a nice discussion about my plans for Porto. They took the time with me to go over the city map and explain to me the sites that were around and the best lookout points to catch the sunset. I was lucky enough to stay on the top floor, which had a street view. This was so lovely and magical. The location was maybe a block or two from slew of restaurants where live music was happening nightly. Normally street noise would discourage me, but this entertainment was goood. Only minor downfall is there is no elevator - by design, its a protected historic building. Also, since its a historic building if everyone is showering at the same time in the morning the water may or may not stop mid shower only to resume again in a few minutes, It's a quirk to this charming building. You also get cookies in your room and pastries and juice are available for you anytime you want - score!!

GGuest UserIt was so beautiful and insanely good!
We stayed in a dormitory with a mix of 6 people. The room has a locker with a key, two separate toilets and two showers. The hair dryer is also very good. You can also use the shared kitchen and refrigerator.
The staff was very kind and helpful.
This is the BEST hostel I’ve stayed in, would honestly stay here over a Hilton. I booked a double private room with breakfast and was upgraded to a family room - despite not needing the extra bed, it was nice to have the extra space and not feeling cramped. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do anymore to assist me in anyway. There was an ample choice of options at breakfast, with the usual stuff found in a continental buffet. I must say the food was delicious! I also dined at the restaurant in the evening which was also delicious and VERY well priced - €12 for a meal and a drink! The room was very spacious, especially as I was a solo traveller. The bathroom was well maintained and the entire room was CLEAN! Along with very comfortable beds and passable pillows (but I am fussy with pillows). The location was perfect! Just 10-15 minutes from Sao Bento and around the corner from the river. I must say I did feel EXTREMELY SAFE both in the hotel and in Porto in general. Why would I stay here over a Hilton? For the price I paid, it was extremely well value and I must say I had a 5* experience here.
Everyone from the staff, to the other travellers were so welcoming and super. The hostel was always clean, and even had maids who came and made the beds, mopped, cleaned bathrooms etc. I stayed in an 8 bed mixed dorm, had no faults with my stay. Loved the onsite bar, and breakfast also being included. The staff were very welcoming, would highly recommend.
GGuest UserThis is not a safe place! Especially if you are a solo traveler. If anything bad happens to you, this hostel would not help you, nor take any responsibility and actually would not care at all. That was exactly what happened to me when staying with them. I booked a mixed room for 5 nights. One night, in the middle of my stay, a sexual harrasment happened in my room conducted by one of the man staying in the same room. He got very drunk. In the middle of the night he started to shout, laugh and finally....masturbated (in a shared room). I was scared to death, my bed was just in front of his, I was sacred he would rape me or hurt me in another way. Suddenly, he went close to the window, and I could hear he was urinating on the floor, on my shoes.. I used the moment that he was across the room to get up and ran out as fast as I could to inform the reception about the incident. I spent the rest of the night in the reception area, was too frightened to go back to the room, I begged them to find something else for me, saying that after all of this, I would not go back to the room. I was asked to pack my belongings as they would check with a manager what they could do for me. On the next day I got the message saying that this man had checked out, and I was offered to stay in the exact same room, in the same bed...or I could leave if I didn't like the idea of staying there... I booked a room in a different place, as I felt disgusted with their behavior. The hostel failed to refund me ANY money for my unused bookings and my destroyed shoes. What was even worse, they never said or charged anything to this man. Nobody called the police. The man ate breakfast and was permitted to check out as if nothing happened. After few days of back and forth with the hostel, they offered that I could cancel the reservation overall to claim a refund - meaning I would not be able to give a review of the place... I refused and decided to give an honest review that this is NOT a safe place to stay, especially for women who travel solo.
GGuest UserThe location are good but room and bathroom are dirty. Staff are so so sweety but people who clean it should improve. It seems they dont clean. Price isnt so good, expensive for what they offer and it isnt all beds have curtains.Lot of young people shut the doors at night so suggestion here have cushioning on the doors.
GGuest UserWell located hostel at Sao Bento train station, everything within walking distance. A bit overrated in my opinion, staff are knowledgeable but a bit 'corporate robotic' I prefer the more personal touch. Its overpriced for what's on offer, very basic breakfast, looks as if meats, cheeses have been purchased from one of the budget supermarkets. Its fine but despite all the hype, nothing special.
GGuest UserWhen we arrived we did the paperwork and payment quickly, then we saw the room, we stayed in a room with bunk beds, a double bed, very decent and clean.
Since we were going to do tourism, we asked at the hostel itself for places to see, they very kindly told us where we could go and gave us a map.
That night we also asked where we could go out for drinks and were told several options.
We didn't get to eat anything there, but everything looked very good.
100% recommended
AAnonymous UserThe hair dryer is not equipped in the room.
The downstairs bar is utterly noisy until 2 am, and you can feel the shake of the floor.
They provide u with a small taste if Porto wine.
The kitchen has nothing but a microwave to cook, so it is barely a kitchen
There’s no water kettle here.
The old man who is working as a janitor there and is also living in their 4 bunk bed is constantly very rude to Asian customers. So be aware. Could be racist, his own trauma, stereotypes, or simply anti-Asia. U can see he was smiling to other guests one minute ago and then scolding u in harsh language to u in the next minute.
Location is good enough.
The reception is only a place with frugal table with keys on it.
LLeeLocation is really good! I got off the subway station and got to climb some hills, but it was only 5 minutes away. The staff at the hostel was nice and helpful. Although the facilities were mixed for 10 people, the room was really spacious and the bed was very good. 10 people but never crowded. There is a dryer too! I have a locker and give me a locker key. Breakfast is just okay Bread cheese ham juice water coffee It's nice to have a rest outside in the morning. Ah, the Wi-Fi didn't go well in the room. Anyway, it is recommended !!! I'll be here again. And I thought I had a paid winery tour at the hostel, but it felt less organized ..! This is light ...
GGuest UserThe treatment I received at this hostel was despicable, unreasonable and hostile. My flight was delayed for 5 hours and whilst in airport I received a very encouraging email from 'so cool' explaining reception closes at 9pm and if I haven't checked in by then I would have to wait to the morning. Having found somewhere else to stay for that night, I turned up at this hostel the next morning, the rigid lady at reception simply wasn't interested or concerned in the least of my predicament and informed me I was a ”no show” and my room was gone for the whole 3 nights I'd booked. I asked for a partial refund for the further 2 nights as I was now having to find somewhere else to stay and would have to pay top price, she was not interested to know this and told me there would be no refund and no room. Whilst I understand policies are policies I think a bit of allowance for unforeseen circumstances wouldn't go amiss. I had no control of my flight being delayed and had I not received the welcome text reminding me of reception opening hours I would have thought twice about contacting them, their communication was confusing and had mixed messages. More unforgivably is the attitude of the manager even when she knew I had nowhere to go and would need the partial refund to secure alternative accomodation, she was not losing any money and had sold my bed twice. I have used *********** for years to book hostels and I have never received such harsh heartless treatment. Whilst I get business is business, there's more to life than a computer database and rigid rules that don't allow for unforeseen circumstances. The rigid lady tried to tell me it was *********** who cancelled me but this was just a lie,. Thankfully the 'hostel Rosalina' saved my bacon and were a fantastic contrast to ”so cool's awful treatment. The receptionist was wonderful and helpful and her friendliness reassured me Porto was not full of heartless money grabbing robots. Avoid this hostel if you're not going to be there for 9pm or you have any chance of a flight delay. .
