We loved our stay here! We based ourselves here for three nights as we explored the region and it was so easy and convenient with plenty of dinner and shopping options nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and welcoming and always checked in with us. The included breakfast was amazing, the perfect way to start every morning.

Wonderful hotel, quietly located in Tunxi. The staff was very helpful with all our requests. We spend 2 nights here to go to the yellow mountains which was a one hour drive one way. We had to leave one night earlier and staff was so kind to refund us that night which we hadn't asked for. The rooms are very nice and quiet comfy. I would certainly recommend this hotel and I hope to come back in the future!

The accommodation environment was fantastic, offering complimentary afternoon tea and snacks. There's also an outdoor coffee corner perfect for a short break. The butler service was exceptional; they even proactively offered two extra breakfasts since we had two children with us. They also helped with our luggage during pick-up and drop-off. Plus, there's a lovely golden British Shorthair cat you can pet freely, which was adorable. When we left in a hurry, the butler even messaged us later to say they'd mail us some souvenirs. All in all, I'll definitely choose this place again when I visit in the future and will recommend it to my friends.

Before coming to Hongcun, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would just be another old village to visit and leave. However, my stay at 'Hongcun Yike Homestay' made me feel that every detail of this trip radiated warmth.
Upon arriving at Hongcun bus station, I was unfamiliar with the area and was stressing about how to drag my luggage across the stone-paved paths to the homestay while looking at a map. The moment I called, the owner's enthusiastic voice immediately put me at ease: 'Wait there, I'll be right over to pick you up!' In less than ten minutes, the owner appeared on an electric scooter, swiftly tied my luggage to the vehicle, and cheerfully motioned for me to hop on. We weaved through Hongcun's winding alleys and past bustling crowds of tourists. The homestay was tucked away in a quiet lane near Moon Pond, an excellent location. You could see Moon Pond just around the corner, yet it was peaceful and quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle.
Stepping into the courtyard, I was captivated by this homestay, a renovated Huizhou-style building. The exquisitely carved porch, wooden corridors, and rustic private courtyard exuded the unique elegance and serenity characteristic of Huizhou homes. Inside the room, it was bright and clean. The antique-style wooden bed paired with a soft mattress offered both classic charm and comfort. The night was exceptionally quiet, and I slept soundly. Early the next morning, I opened the window to a beautiful view of the Huizhou-style horse-head walls in the morning light, distant mountains draped in lush greenery, and the nearby sounds of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It truly felt like living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting.
On the day of my departure, the owner drove me to the bus station as usual, reminding me of other places I hadn't visited in Hongcun along the way. Before saying goodbye, the owner pulled out a packet of chrysanthemum tea from the trunk, handed it to me, and smiled, saying, 'This is our local chrysanthemum tea, take it home and try it.' Holding that packet of tea, my heart felt warm. Staying here truly felt like returning to an old friend's home in Huizhou, thoughtful and considerate in every way.
'Yike Homestay' truly lives up to its name – making one feel 'at ease' (逸) and so content that guests (客) forget to leave. Next time I'm in Hongcun, I'll definitely stay here again.

I specifically came to Hongcun to relax and unwind, and choosing this guesthouse was absolutely the right decision. It's tucked away in an old village alley, right in the heart of the scenic area, making it incredibly convenient to get in and out of the park. It's just a short walk to the lakeside viewpoint. What surprised me most was how incredibly clean it was. The rooms, which are renovated from an old house, were spotless. They were well-ventilated, dry, and had no musty odors. Every corner was meticulously tidied, making my stay feel very safe and comfortable.

The water heater is not convenient enough to take a bath. It is pulled up with a simple curtain. There is no glass door to isolate dry and wet. The curtains in the house are too long to hang on the ground and some dirty. The bedside is a bit loose. The sink faucet needs to be opened with hot water. The valve below, the sofa does not need to be easy to dirty in the house and occupy space. Changed to simple plastic stools is simple and hygienic. After checking out, there is a special aunt to clean up and clean the sheets, but it is recommended to do hot water, drinking water, hygiene and some details. Compared with simple hotels, about fifty or sixty yuan is still very competitive. But for users, it will be more comfortable to add some prices to choose a regular hotel chain.

This hotel, with its Huizhou architectural style, truly immerses you in the local culture. The white walls, dark tiles, and wooden corridors blend seamlessly with the beautiful scenery of Hongcun. Stepping inside feels like becoming one with the region's heritage. The lake view rooms offer expansive vistas, allowing you to take in the clear waters of South Lake and the surrounding Huizhou-style homes right from your window. It's incredibly convenient too; you can walk to the main attractions in just a few minutes, making it easy to capture stunning ancient-style photos. The staff are attentive and thoughtful, always responding promptly to any request with a gentle demeanor, and without any unnecessary interruptions. When visiting Hongcun, I highly recommend this hotel.

This time I came to Chengkan, and the Jiaoyangli B&B I lived in really exceeded expectations. The boss and his wife are very real. They know that we are going to visit the scenic spot and take the initiative to pick up and drop off for free, saving a lot of trouble finding the way and waiting for the car.
The room was clean and the facilities were quite new and the living was very comfortable. The noodles for breakfast were particularly fragrant, and the dried bamboo shoots and sauerkraut were all local flavors and I was very satisfied.
There is free parking space in the yard, and it is very worry-free to drive by car. Before leaving, the boss also sent us two refrigerator stickers, and the small details are all heartfelt. Next time I come to Chengkan, I will definitely stay here, and I really recommend it to friends who come to play.

This place is incredibly close to both the Huangshan South Transfer Center and the Zhaixi Transfer Center, just a 200-meter walk. We arrived on a rainy day, and the owner kindly came to pick us up. They even provided raincoats and hiking poles for our Huangshan climb. We booked a duplex room, and aside from the skylight curtain not closing, everything else was perfect. The owner's hand-drawn maps for the up and down mountain routes were super helpful. We left at 6:30 AM, reached the cable car by 7:00 AM, and our entire route was incredibly smooth.

This guesthouse is nestled in a historic alley of Tunxi Old Street. It boasts convenient transportation and is surrounded by various restaurants and shops. They offer airport pick-up service, and the butler even comes out to help with luggage, showcasing their incredibly thoughtful service.
The guesthouse is a renovated century-old building. The front hall and main entrance exude an antique charm with exquisite wood carvings and vintage furniture, all steeped in history. Staying here feels like a journey back in time to ancient Huizhou.
The guest room area is spacious, bright, and impeccably clean with fresh air. The room's interior is very new, featuring modern facilities. The bathroom fixtures are Kohler, and the hairdryer is Dyson, ensuring a convenient and comfortable stay.
This is a guesthouse run with genuine passion, and the owner clearly has a great appreciation for culture. It's a perfect blend of historical heritage and modern comfort. It exceeded all my expectations and I highly recommend it.

We brought our family to stay at Ruochu Homestay in Jiuhua Mountain and were very satisfied! The room was quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The homestay's location is quiet, and it's convenient to visit some temples. The concierge was very warm and attentive, helping us plan our itinerary and even thoughtfully preparing children's amenities. We will definitely choose to stay here again next time. Highly recommend this room for families with kids.
Great hotel, beautiful views and amazing location. The dinner and breakfast were also very good. The butler was also very kind and made our family trip very smooth.

It was wonderful experience to stay at this hotel, specially because of hotel owner 徐勇亮. We were greeted with extraordinary hospitality and friendliness. I was with a large group of friends, only two of whom could speak Chinese, but that didn't bother me as the owner knew English too. We will miss this trip very much and remember it with warm feelings. I hope I will come here again!

Facilities: The facilities are complete. You can eat on the first floor of the B&B. The dishes cooked by the owner are also delicious. Environment: The hotel environment is very quiet and very suitable for vacation and leisure. The room is also large with a balcony where you can see the mountains and water in front of the B&B. Service: Although the hotel is a little far from Huangshan, the owner will drive to pick you up and provide hiking poles, so the distance is not a problem.

I discovered a treasure homestay. The environment is very good and it is very convenient to travel. The room is clean and the decoration is very suitable for children. There are small animals to feed and cats to play with. There are also many toys for children in the leisure room. The children have a lot of fun! The boss is also very considerate and enthusiastic. I will come again next time. It is great value! !
This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! We don’t think we have ever met a team that is more welcoming, friendly and helpful! The design of the hotel is very artsy and beautiful, and the room is very spacious and clean. We can only recommend staying here, the location is excellent for anyone looking for a getaway in nature. Food is amazing, and we even got breakfast in bed, with the most amazing selection of food! And they have a private hot spring bath, which is a great way to relax after a day in the mountains. It is very close to Huangshan scenic area and transfer to get there is included. For all international tourists: It was also easy to communicate in English via the hotel chat, they are very forthcoming in supporting you with planning your travels and transfer. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Excellent
Highly recommend this home stay for first night of a Huangshan mountain weekend adventure. Pros: very clean, comfortable bed and linens, good shower pressure. The host was very welcoming and considerate -in the morning, offered to drive me to the nearby transfer bus station from Tangkou to Huangshan Yungu cable car. Breakfast was simple but good -warm noodles with fried eggs. I travelled solo but noticed several of the rooms look perfect for families. I’ll share a few notes regarding visiting Huangshan: 1) easy 2 night weekend from Shanghai. I took high speed train at 5pm Friday, arrived Huangshan station around 8 pm. It’s a roughly 1 hr taxi or Didi ride to Tangkou area. This home stay is ~1 km outside of Tangkou tourist center (which I liked, more peaceful). 2) All entry into Huangshan scenic area must be via park bus (ie can not taxi directly to cable car station). As mentioned, host offered to drive to bus station which was very nice. 3) I find China loves complicated ticketing and queuing systems -this didn’t disappoint . At the bus station, you go to a booth to make a reservation for park entry. Then, another booths for cable car. After queuing and riding cable car, you buy another ticket, using reservation, at top of mountain for park entry. Good news, many of the counter staff in Huangshan speak English. 3) For second night, I stayed in park at Paiyun (good, will review separately). Paiyun, Xihai, and Beihai are all just minutes apart. All three appear of similar quality and service and are in great central location for hiking. 4) On Sunday morning, rose at 5:00 to view 5:40 sunrise at viewing platform just behind and up the hill from Paiyun (10 min climb). I was surprised at the number of early risers gathered. Breakfast at 6:30, returned to Yungu cable car for a solo ride back to bus. Bus to Tangkou. Taxi to Huangshan north station. Easily was able to make a 10:30 am departure for Shanghai, arriving at 1 pm. 5) this may sound like a short trip but it afforded climbing every peak and vista on the East side of Huangshan on Saturday at a fairly leisurely pace. Hope these random notes help! Huangshan is beautiful, worth the trip, and if you can manage climbing lots of steps it is easy to navigate. Cheers!

Excellent
Our family of 13 recently spent three nights at Shanyu Life and Huangshan Design hotel and the experience was delightful. The location is excellent—about a 10‑minute drive from the Huangshan park entrance—yet the hotel sits in a quiet area surrounded by mountains and tea plantations. The hotel’s free shuttle to Huangshan was extremely convenient for a group of our size. The resort offers spacious rooms with high‑quality finishes and fittings; All 7 of our rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with comfortable bedding and bathroom amenities that made for a very relaxing stay. The property is so tastefully designed that we were content to simply linger in the common areas after breakfast, sipping tea or practicing Chinese calligraphy in the serene setting. The highlight of our visit was the outstanding service from the staff, who were consistently caring, attentive, and proactive in anticipating our needs. They handled several ad‑hoc requests even before our arrival and continued to go above and beyond throughout our stay so that every member of our family felt well looked after. We particularly enjoyed the welcome hot tea while hotel owner Fang Fei introduced many interesting places to visit around Huangshan. The team also arranged a half‑day excursion to Mukeng Village Bamboo Forest, where the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was filmed, and it was amazing climbing the hills through such dense bamboo forest. After long days of sightseeing and mountain climbing, it was a joy to return to the resort, where a warm and hearty dinner awaited us, making it feel like coming home each evening. Fang Fei is also a tea master, and she not only taught us a lot about Huangshan’s famous teas but also hosted a tea‑appreciation and meditation session for us, which was exactly what our family needed after hectic travels through many Chinese cities before arriving in Huangshan. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable, and this hotel is highly recommended to anyone planning to visit Huangshan.
