My wife and I discovered this wonderful place after traveling everywhere in Europe for the last 40 years. As a travel writer I have confidently shared our discovery of this wonderful place with many friends and readers. From the moment you arrive you receive a warm greeted by the most professional and caring staff. Everyone is attentive and truly want to make your stay a good one. When we arrived mid day we went to the pool for a wonderful lunch. Near us was a table with an attractive family, of 3 generations and their family dog, They were the family who owns and manages the property , ”eating their own cooking” as we say, and enjoying the quiet loveliness of their own property. There are 3 choices of accommodations here, each wonderful and meeting special preferences. We stayed in the Palazzo and loved it, but the Castello/Castle and its garden and views are outstanding. The rooms in the beautifully renovated stables with large grass common area are very accommodating, especially for families with children. The whole property is a destination in itself with so many things to see. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, all in totally different environments, and it all was superb. In closing, we all know that the staff makes all the difference wherever we stay. Again, the staff, and owners, could not be more welcoming, joyful and professional. Where do we begin! Paid for superior room 15 months before the holiday, organised by leger holidays. On arrival after getting in the room I had to call reception to check we had been given a superior room. Very small bathroom with shower and very tired looking. Room acceptable, until we looked out to find part of the building obscuring lake view. Dreadful noise from next door morning and very late every night, when I asked about it at reception I was told it was a guest! I knew full well it wasnt as no room number on the door......it was staff accommodation.....4 beds we saw as the door was left open. I asked to upgrade again told no available rooms. Food was basic and often inedible, definitely catered for coach holiday not the hotels full menu, standard was unacceptable. Bed was made daily and towels changed as necessary but sadly bathroom not cleaned all the week we were there. Breakfast was good and leila worked so hard in the breakfast room, always with a smile. Good position hotel on edge of village but sadly not all superior rooms got a good view. Outdoor areas and pool we're nice. Definitely needs more attention to detail, and would not recommend to anyone who expects a good standard. Wouldn't recommend leger either.

Hotel is well equiped to accomodate early travellers ∼ breakfast starts at 5am and front desk is ready to handle leaving guests. Staff is young yet experienced. They know airport traffic well and can advise accordingly. One surprise was their restaurant. Home-style food and not salty. I was carelessly slipped my side dish. Team came quickly to clean floor. They then provided a hot water soaked napkin to address my soiled clothing. Few mins after they came with a fresh side dish! Kudo to the team. A point on free airport shuttle - taking T2 to T1 direction and stop at Case Nuove. The stop is right at the interaction where you can walk to the hotel easily.

Our flight was overbooked and we had to stay in a hotel near by. The hotel staff were excellent, after a very stressful four hours of not being able to board a plane, waiting for our bags to return and having zero communication from the flight company, we needed good people. The staff had held the kitchen for us so we had some food. They recommended ways to get to a different airport so we could get home earlier. Amazing people, very friendly, accommodating and helpful, thank you 🙏

The room (we had No 106) was modern & very clean, the location great, the parking helpful. Thanks to Tripadvisor we had great dinners in restaurants, all within walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel was certainly Corona-conditioned so reduced: There was toast, ham, cheese and egg per personal allocation. We were there for 1 week - it was the same every day. This could be optimised. We could not use the sauna because of the special opening hours. Unfortunately, our beautiful holiday was spoiled afterwards: We always keep our things in a locked suitcase in hotels when we are not in the room during the day. This was also the case here the whole week. Exception: the day after we went shopping. We hung exactly 4 items in the room so they wouldn't crease. Everything else was in the suitcase or in the car. One of the clothes we bought, for which we have a receipt, did not arrive at home and could only have stayed in the hotel. In whatever way. What a pity. Maybe it will turn up...

Set in a peaceful area close to a lovely little town called Sesto Calende. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking woodland. As it is out of the way, they also sell plated meals at reasonable prices which can be heated in their kitchen area, if you don’t want to head out. Lovely staff, will definitely return.
