Windmill Ridge

Stayed here whilst on a business trip out to the US, having stayed here back in 2012. It's a great little hide away and perfect if you want to head over to the nearby mountains and beyond. We used this accommodation while we did a couple of reccies over the mountains and into Groom Lake. After some long hikes and getting within 5 miles of the Groom Lake base, it was great to come back to this comfy lodges style hotel. Rooms are very clean and snug with great comfortable beds. Staff are always friendly along with the locals. Although one local maybe shouldn't of got drunk and told us he worked at Area 51 and what he was current engineering! Thoroughly recommend this accommodation as a great base! Tip: There is an old mine up on the nearest mountain which if you follow the main tunnel gets you very close to the Groom Lake airfield permitted. Take torches you will need them.
