Fit our need for a quick overnight stay! Beds were comgortable and had anything you might need or have forgotten!

Easy check in/check out. Clean, comfortable room. Perfect location for my visit to Sweet Briar College.

I had a lovely stay at the Amherst Inn. The room was cozy and comfortable and the owners stock the room with free snacks, which was a nice welcome. It was quiet and right at the heart of Amherst. Would highly recommend staying here.

Rooms were quaint and well organized!! Free snacks and bottled water were a bonus. Everything was very clean and proprietors were beyond friendly and helpful.

The rooms and the entire facility is very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable. There is ample parking. Several dining options are very close and convenient.

The Amherst Inn is a true travelers delight!! Everything is way above average: from the warm greeting at the front desk: to the wide selection of books in the newly renovated lobby (and in your room): to the spotlessly clean room with every amenity imaginable (including complimentary snacks): to the well furnished outside patio snuggled into the hillside. Personally I don't see why anyone would rate the Inn anything other than a 5 star (even 10 star if it existed!!)

The room is furnished nice and with snacks waters and toiletries for a comfortable stay. Love the stroopwafels!

An outstanding property . Extremley well managed. Spotlessly clean. Inroom amenities were wonderful. Oversized ouality towels and quality linens were much appreiated. area information provided was very well presented and helpful.

The Amherst Inn is a retro motel that has been completely renovated into a hotel that is designed to make a person feel special. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and lots of fluffy pillows. The attention to detail was amazing. The room was designed to feel like you were a guest in someone's house. The cover at the foot of the bed was gorgeous and very soft. Many amenities were provided including complementary snacks and water. The bathroom was not your typical hotel bathroom. The owners put a lot of thought and effort in the design of the bathroom. Extra toiletries were provided in a basket and the towels were plentiful and thick. There was even a separate heater in the bathroom. A nice sitting area was provided outside with new patio furniture and nice landscaping. The hotel was clean outside and inside. The owners were very gracious. This hotel was a real gem and I could tell that they spent a lot of time and effort in providing a great place to stay. We will be back!
