Jaz in The City Amsterdam Reviews

Jaz in the City is a modern, cool/hip music-themed hotel next to the Ziggo Dome and 5 mins walk from Bijlma Arena (station, shopping area, stadium). The rooms are well designed, I slept in a comfortable king-size bed, and there is even a sauna on the top (10th) floor! The breakfast is good and there is a great bar where you can also enjoy good quality basic bar food. There are also several good restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed two nights at Jazz in the City Hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel itself was modern, clean, and comfortable, with all the facilities we needed. Check-in was smooth and the room was great, though we did notice a slight clicking noise from the lights cooling down at night, which was a bit distracting after a long flight. The location is outside the city centre, near the arena, so it’s best suited for events there rather than sightseeing. It’s a fair walk from the nearest train station and a little tricky to find at first. One tip: the ticket machines at the station only accepted cash, not cards, which made things difficult for us when we first arrived (especially on a Sunday when other da ticket options were closed). Luckily, we’d already bought a 24-hour ticket the day before, which allowed us to travel again and then sort out new tickets later. Breakfast wasn’t included, so we just grabbed food in town each day. Overall, a solid and comfortable stay if you don’t mind being outside the city centre, and with a bit of planning for tickets it works well as a budget-friendly base for Amsterdam.

Animals hotel with everything i need . Great location and staff are really helpful as well. Will stay next time I visit Amsterdam! 100% recommend

It is exactly like the photos, big clean amazing room. Iron was missing which they kindly provided upon request. Only slight issue was the light was quite low in the room made my wife feel silly while doing her makeup. Staff was very friendly.

Room is very nice and the staff are friendly. The location is a bit far from the city center but there is a station nearby and just 15 minutes by metro.

The location Is really convenient , walking distance To Grocery stall and train station .

Good Location, around 5-8 minutes walk from the nearest Metro Station or InterCity Train Station, Very Excellent Service from all of the Concierge, Facility is very top notch for the price, Very Excellent Luggage Storage, I had my luggage stored before Check-in and after Check-out so it was very convenient. Andddd... it was right head to head with the Ajax Stadium.

This hotel has a serious problem with the hot water in the shower. I reported the issue to the front desk, and while they sent a technician to fix it, the problem persisted, the next morning, I faced the same cold shower again.   During my stay, I had to take two cold showers despite running the water for over 15 minutes each time. The shower display indicated a temperature of 38 degrees, yet only cold water came out. At checkout, I overheard another guest complaining about the same issue, they even requested a room change.   Additionally, one of the towels in my bathroom was slightly torn, which is not very acceptable for a four-star hotel.   On a positive note, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the location was convenient, and the room itself was clean. However, due to the recurring shower problems, I will not be booking this hotel again. I chose it for its proximity to our Amsterdam office, but on my next business trip in July, I’ll be staying elsewhere.

The shower in my room wasn’t working properly. I was moved to a different room, but the same issue occurred. The high-tech touchscreen controls didn’t respond, and the water temperature was preset to an extremely hot level with no way to adjust it. It made the shower unusable. Disappointing, especially after changing rooms. Staff were polite, but the issue remained unresolved.

The checking process was too long having to do it yourself with no help from the staff

Location is good, direct train from AMS, 17 mins. Plenty of food, coffee, burgers, drinks and a supermarket 7 min walk away. Extremely clean, very comfortable bed,, free nesspresso coffee in room. Rates very reasonable compared to other hotels. Will stay there again if in the area. Highltnrecommended

i had just had a chopper flight then a 2 hour drive, to be told to leave my bags at reception as check in was 2pm i arrived at 13.52 which i thought was bad customer services, she also didn't make eye contact as she spoke to me whilst looking at her mobile phone, that was welded to her hand. Apart from that i enjoyed my stay. PS. Don't let them book a taxi for you as the fare was absolutely obscene! it cost me £64.00 for an 9 minute drive to airport in no traffic. D Dalgarno

The hotel has a nice concept and decor. The bed was very comfortable. However, the internet never reached the room, the shower is impossible to set up, the coffee was horrible and the gym was terrible.
