"Next to rail and metro station and ample tram and bus stops. It's a quick ride into Amsterdam central station and attractions close to Amsterdam. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We to there early and they were able to store our luggage ahead of our checkin time. The rooms are spacious but feel a little bare and there was one night were the hot water turned off mid shower and I was left taking a cold shower. Outside of that one night the water temp was pretty good and the staff had no idea why the hot water ran out beside the fact that maybe too many guest were using at the same time. Overall, I thought the stay was very pleasant and we enjoyed our time in Amsterdam."

"The location is fantastic! 2min walk from tram 1 station and 5min walk from tram 2/12 station. Extremely accessible. The room is clean and with basic equipment — shampoo, kettle, hair dryer. The staff is friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out process is smooth and swift. Affordable price with quality beyond expectations. Love it!"

"All Holiday Inn properties generally look quite similar, and there's a certain sense of reassurance and predictability that comes with such a standardized chain. A notable perk: upon check-in, we were informed that if we chose to forgo daily housekeeping (for cost-saving and environmental reasons), the hotel would provide two complimentary drinks per room each day. This quickly became our group's evening highlight – a fun 'happy hour' with adults enjoying alcoholic beverages and the kids having soft drinks!"

"I had a frustrating experience at XO Hotel Blue Tower, primarily due to the unprofessional conduct of a brown-colored male front desk receptionist. During check-out, their impatience and lack of courtesy were glaring. When I asked a straightforward question about the check-out process, they delayed responding, ignoring my question entirely at first and leaving me standing there feeling dismissed. When they finally addressed me, their tone was curt and unhelpful, making the interaction unnecessarily unpleasant. The overall experience at the hotel was mediocre, but the receptionist’s impolite and unresponsive behavior made it worse. I won’t return and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone expecting decent service."

"The hotel is right next to the concert hall. From the central station, take tram line 26 for one stop, then it's a 200-meter walk across the bridge to the ground floor on the other side. They gave me a river view room, and the scenery was absolutely stunning – truly a 'wow' moment when I opened the door. Breakfast was also very rich and varied. I booked early, so the price was quite reasonable. It was definitely the best hotel experience I had among all the places I stayed on this business trip."

"Conveniently located in De Pijp and near modes of transportation. Very walkable to the Museumplein. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, especially the pillows. The light controls are one of the best. The only gripe we had was the cleanliness of the toilet (separated from the shower area). The way it was designed and built made cleaning very difficult. The stench of ”old pee” from past guests lingered during check-in, which room service was not able to get rid of after our feedback. But we did however manage to resolve it (so it did not smell anymore) with the water we boiled from the electric flask. Otherwise a fantastic stay."

FFRISOExcellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible. The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough. Thank you for a great stay and I hope to come back again when I am back in the Netherlands. Kind regards, Diederik Lugt

RRicardoWe were amazed by this charming little hotel in the Joordan neighborhood, an ideal area for exploring the city on foot. We stayed in the penthouse suite, a very special and romantic attic space, both the room and the common areas are full of charming details that add to other surprises that they give you during your stay and at check out time. All staff were very friendly, going out of their way to accommodate every need. The possibility of having hot drinks at any time, even snacks in the afternoon, is a plus during a time as cold as December, we only wanted to try the breakfast, which looked great and was reasonably priced.

This is more like a business hotel - high speed and stable wifi, generally clean, spacious, with in-room Nespresso coffee machine and shower amenities (using Ritual products!). Would be great if room slippers are included. Hotel is near to the convention centre, 15 minutes drive from airport and walking distance to the tram and metro. On the first or second day of our stay, realised the housekeeping was ”half done” - the tablecloth on our desk, bed not done and bathroom not cleaned. Was quite worrying at first - we took it as a one-off mistake and didn't pursue. After which we are heartened by the prompt and efficient housekeeping :)

Less than 10 minutes from the central railway station, go left at the main entrance of the train station, cross the tram, walk along the road, there is a bus station at the entrance of the hotel, it is easy to find. The 24-hour front desk, the waiter is very enthusiastic, will tell you in detail where to go, live here safely and comfortably.
