Hotel Estheréa

We had a lovely stay at this charming hotel, the staff were very warm and friendly, rooms were clean and well maintained. They even prepared a thoughtful gift as we were celebrating our anniversary on this trip. Bonus points for the adorable resident cats! Highly recommend!

I was really looking forward to staying here again, after having a wonderful time with my husband when we stayed last November. I booked a canal room was disappointed to get a room with one small window overlooking the canal and an older bathroom that smelt of urine which had to be cleaned with bleach each day. The young female reception staff on the first day did not believe me until she walked into the room and the smell hit her. The young gentleman on the second day was lovely to deal with. On the bright side, the bed was very comfortable and the view of the canal was beautiful. Unfortunately, I now won’t be coming back.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Estherea. The hotel was absolutely spotless, the bed was really comfortable, and the location was perfect — within easy reach of Amsterdam’s main attractions. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it!

A beautiful, classic hotel that truly felt like a home away from home! The decor is stunning throughout, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the amenities were everything we needed. We especially loved meeting the two resident cats, which was so comforting since we were missing our BSH cats at home. However, customer service can certainly be improved. Check-in and check-out took quite a while as the front desk staff were preoccupied, having only one person handling both processes felt insufficient. On a few occasions, such as when we first walked into the lobby with our luggage or when dropping off keys at the desk, staff members seemed too busy to greet us or offer assistance. It’s a wonderful property, but warmer, more proactive service would make a huge difference.
