Ionian Plaza Hotel

We landed here after the Kefalonia Grand cancelled as they were not opening. The accommodation is good. Bed is small but ok. The windows overlook the square which is lovely off season but I can imagine it’s very loud when in season. The staff are ok. Breakfast for British is lacking - pastries, tasteless cornflake type things and meat/ cheese. Absolutely NO GF so if you’re celiac bring stuff with you! ( the restaurant across the way does gf) I would not stay here in high season unless you are a night owl as I think it would be loud until early morning.

Amazing hotel with modern rooms centrally located in the town square with many options for dining and shopping. Highly recommended. The staff were nothing but polite attentive and gracious.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a fantastic hotel that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better. Situated in a prime spot, it offered easy access to the attractions and amenities I wanted to explore during my stay. Whether it was the bustling city streets, serene parks, or trasport links, everything was conveniently within reach. As for the hotel itself, it was beautifully designed and maintained. The lobby exuded elegance and sophistication, setting a high standard for the rest of my stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the staff ensuring that I had everything I needed. Upon entering my room, I was immediately struck by its cleanliness and attention to detail. The decor was tasteful, modern and inviting a**osphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring. One aspect that truly stood out was the hotel's commi**ent to granting my request for a balcony. It was such a delight to have my own private outdoor space where I could relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Throughout my time at the hotel, the staff continued to impress me with their exceptional service, especially the lady in the spa services.

The hotel is centrally situated in the main square in Argostoli .The rooms are comfortable and well furnished .The staff are very helpful and pleasant .It does lack enough car parking space but it is easy to park at the port and walk .It is a great place to stay if you enjoy dining ,drinking or just people watching in the square .We would definitely stay there again

The Ionian Plaza is in a beautiful square and within walking distance of many good bars and restaurants in Argostoli. The staff are very helpful and the rooms and very comfortable. I had a great stay again.

Brilliant location over looking the main square. Loads of bars restaurants and shops that really come alive in the evening. Rooms are nice, very clean and serviced daily. Continental buffet breakfast which is pretty good (most are far far worse). Small gym with decent selection of equipment for 'a keep on top of it style workout'. Staff are 100%. Lady at reception really bent over backwards to accommodate, making tea and coffee and delivering to room. She really was a star. They don't have an evening menu, but being on the square, finding something to eat is not a problem. 1 minute walk from harbour front and even more bars, eateries and shops. Really would recommend for the price. And as a bonus, they have their own carpark at the rear which is free for customer use.
